I've been visiting the W Hotel London since 2013, and every time feels just like coming back home. The staff are always friendly and attentive, and the location couldn't be better. Plus, the level of service is unmatched - they truly go above and beyond to make sure my stay is as comfortable and enjoyable every single time. This particular property consistently has one of the friendliest staff I’ve ever come across making it a staple whenever I’m in London.
The Suite
I’ve stayed in many of their suites, but this time, I finally got to stay in their EWOW suite. For those unfamiliar with the W Hotel brand, the Extreme WOW suite is their most lavish and extravagant option. The Extreme WOW Suite at the W Hotel is a top-floor penthouse that offers stunning panoramic views of London. It is one of the largest suites in the hotel, with over 1,500 square feet of space that includes a separate bedroom, living room with a revolving sofa, a DJ station, two bathrooms, and a full dining room. The suite features floor-to-ceiling windows, which help bring the city's energy into the room. The suite's contemporary design is a blend of modern and classic elements with design touches from Jack Irving. The master bathroom also has a jacuzzi tub in addition to rain shower.
The Revolving Sofa
What makes this suite truly unique is the revolving sofa, which can be found in the living room area. This piece of furniture is centrally located, and it can rotate 360 degrees. You can change your seating arrangements to face the beautiful views of the city skyline or towards a large flat-screen TV mounted on the wall, or simply face the other guests in the room for a more interactive experience. This feature is perfect for parties or gatherings and adds a fun and playful touch to the overall vibe of the suite.
The Mega Bar Experience
This is by bar one of the most unique in-room offerings I’ve ever experienced. The Mega Bar is a giant music freight case that opens up to a luxury bar with speakers, an onyx worktop, deluxe leather panelling and a handcrafted gold-hammered sink along with a spinning disco ball. It is wheeled to your suite and comes with a dedicated mixologist that will help get your party started.
Location
The W Hotel London is located in Soho by Leicester Square, with direct access to the city's best restaurants and entertainment venues. With Soho and Chinatown right outside the hotel, you are right in the middle of all the action. Head in one direction and you'll find yourself wandering the charming streets of Covent Garden, with its market stalls and street performers. Or head in the other direction and you'll be on Regent street, home to some of the finest shops and boutiques in the world.
There is also a nearby tube station which allows easy access to other neighbourhoods, museums, and cultural landmarks in London, including Big Ben, The British Museum, and the London Eye.
Amenities and other offerings
The Perception Bar at the W London has been a hot spot in the city for many years. There are many different sections to the lounge area. The Perception bar and lounge showcase the multiple sides of every personality: the dark and the light, the playful and the serious, the substance and the sparkle, the bold and the witty.
If you’re looking for self care, there’s the AWAY Spa and a gym for guests.
Final Thoughts
W London has been my home away from home for many years. The location alone is worth a stay. It is super convenient access to everything you would want to do in London. Personally, It’s been he people here that really pulls me from coming back year after year. The EWOW suite provided an unforgettable experience with many offerings that I haven’t seen in other hotels. Granted, any room at this properly is a good one. I highly recommend the WOW Suite if the EWOW suite is too extravagant for you. Nonetheless, you should definitely book your next stay in London here.
